Do you have some photos that were taken where the subject of the photo is at a distance? These types of photos are not the best to use on a traditional full size scrapbook page. Instead of discarding these distance shots, use 'em to make the Scrapbook in a Box! The box is 1 7/8 by 2 3/8 inches.
Total number of photos that will fit in this scrapbook: 20

Instructions:
Remove the binding from the mini notebooks either by hand or with a wire tool.

Punch out 22 white cardstock squares with the 1-3/8 inch square punch.

Cut (2) 2-inch by 1-1/2-inch pieces of colored cardstock for your front and back covers. Also, cut (9) 1-7/8-inch by 1-1/2-inch pieces of colored cardstock for the inside pages.

Using the 1/8 circle punch, punch 3 holes on only 1 of the short ends of the 2 cover pieces. Then punch 3 holes on BOTH of the short ends of the 9 inside pages. If you would like to stamp a background texture on these pages, do so now.

Now begin binding your scrapbook with the coils.

If you are using the metal-style coils, remember to keep the part of the coil that "comes together at the back" on one side of the scrapbook. This will make your scrapbook close properly.

Using a bit of monoadhesive, attach the white cardstock squares to your pages on both sides of the scrapbook.

Punch a circle in the cover page and insert a ribbon, tab, or Hodgepodge Hardware to act as a "handle" when pulling the scrapbook out of the box.

Using the smaller 1-1/4-inch square punch, punch out your photographs. Adhere to your scrapbook pages.

Print the box templates from this website. Cut your paper to size. Using your scoring blade, score on the inside lines of the templates. Cut in 4 places where indicated on the template. Do not cut all the way across, only cut from the end of the line to the inside score line. Fold on the score lines to create your box. Adhere your box sides with Sticky Strip or Red Liner Tape. I don't recommend monoadhesive for the box. Monoadhesive is not strong enough to hold the box together.
Embellish with ribbons, cord, and a tag.
